Manchester United chief Ed Woodward makes personal contact with long-term Jose Mourinho target

By

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has met up with Ivan Perisic's agent this week to thrash out a last-minute deal, according to the Sun.

The article claims that the United chief has met with the player's agent to convince him to move to Old Trafford.

The Croatian is Jose Mourinho's last piece of the puzzle for his summer's transfer window.

The Portuguese has already added a defender, a midfielder and a striker but wants a player who can play wide to complete his squad.

The Red Devils were in phenomenal form last week as they kicked off their Premier League campaign with a rampant 4-0 win against West Ham United.

They face a tricky away trip to Swansea City this weekend before hosting Leicester City at Old Trafford.
