"He's their number-one target this summer" - Chelsea could be involved in British transfer record this summer

By

Manchester City are ready to break England's transfer record to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea.

The Daily Star believes that the Citizens are ready to offer £100million to add the Belgium international to their squad.

Recent reports have claimed that the 27-year-old wants to leave Stamford Bridge in order to enjoy Champions League football next season.

The Blues ended their campaign on a high after beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

But they failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Hazard was already tipped to leave the club during last summer's transfer window with Real Madrid showing interest but he eventually decided to stay.

If the transfer goes through it would break the British transfer record.
